As a social learning community of practice, HM|HC needed to find ways to get together to share perspective and generate knowledge from various sources (formal research and local experience) and begin to mobilize that education toward more informed, intentional and impactful implementation of ideas and insights. The most inclusive of these occasions were the Summits. In their earliest installments they were annual and later became biennial, ideally in-person but in the last years virtual. Webinars were also frequently utilized. Eventually they took the form of HM|HC Talks supplying short presentations to stimulate full audience interchange in dialogue over pertinent questions and appropriate application. Regional forums provided opportunities for more distributed organization and context concentrated conversations. Campus consultations, teleconferences and local workshops were not so amenable to dispersed documentation but proved beneficial to participants.
