Online Screenings

Check in on how you're doing

Welcome to Here to Help's online screening for mental well-being, depression, anxiety and substance use. Your answers are completely anonymous--we won't record anything that can identify you. If there's a screening you'd like to skip, just hit the Skip button at the bottom of the screening. The screening tool will guide you through the following steps:

1First, you'll be asked to provide a little information about yourself (like your age and gender) so we can guide you to the right screenings.
2The screenings start with a short quiz designed to gauge your overall mental well-being.
3A depression screening is next. There are different types of depression screenings available for specific groups. We'll direct you to the one that is right for you.
4One of the depression screenings includes questions about other symptoms. Depending on your answers, you may be directed to a mood disorders screening which looks more closely at symptoms of mania, which can happen alongside depression.
5Your next stop is an anxiety screening. You'll be directed to different versions of the screening depending on your age.
6A screening will then take a look at your body image and attitudes toward food and eating.
7The last screenings assess your use of alcohol and cannabis. Depending on your age, you may also see a screen related to how and when you use any substances and their impacts. Note that the alcohol and substance use screens do not provide a score like the other screens, so do not supply levels of relative risk for harm from your use. What they intend is to help you identify areas of concern you may want to think about or act on.
8Finally, your results will be displayed for you to review and print or email. A reminder that these screenings cannot diagnose on their own. Health professionals need much more information about you to make the right diagnosis.
